Harley is currently completing an M&A internship at GrowthOps where he is working closely alongside the COO to help evaluate and execute M&A deals. He recently undertook a summer internship at KPMG, but has spent the bulk of his time working on the trading desk at Sequoia Financial Group.
Through his experience he has gained an interest in unconventional trading strategies and is currently researching a strategy to identify and short-sell companies with a proven record of over-promising future earnings. He is also exploring the depths of commerce and finance as part of his Bachelor of Commerce and Advanced Studies double-degree.
A firm believer in the power of commerce to drive social change, Harley is passionate about impact investing, which he channels in his role as a fund director at Sydney Impact Investing (SUIIS).
Harley is eager to write captivating articles for our blog, ‘The Curious One’, exploring the cutting edge of the financial world. He will be specialising as an investment writer, covering topics such as e-sports investment, market psychology, social impact investing and green finance.
