Josh is currently working as a research assistant at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes (UNSW) where he's writing a paper on extreme rainfall projections. He previously interned as a credit risk analyst at American Express (through the UNSW Co-op Program), and was the first non-founding addition to the now fast growing NDIS startup, T-shirt Ventures (previously Providers Choice).
With a particular interest in deploying scalable and automated AI solutions, Josh studies computational data science at UNSW. He frequently competes in data science hackathons and builds his own side projects. Currently, he is using vectorised tweets to investigate the relationship between crime and hate speech in NSW in collaboration with the team at Relevance AI. He is interested in sustainability, climate-tech, and building crypto protocols, along with impact investment tracking; something he explored as a student consultant at 180 Degrees Consulting.
Whilst fascinated by macro-financial trends in capital markets, Josh will be writing articles for Elucidate on technical machine-learning, general AI trends, crypto protocols and other scientific breakthroughs. With strong writing and editing skills, Josh will be an invaluable member of the team.
