How does the program work?

  • Week 1 | Training

    Get to know the other writers and the elucidate team at our social welcome event. After that, we will host a 1-hour workshop, focusing on writing editing, structuring and coming up with ideas for an article.

    Each group has a 1-hour session with members of the senior leadership team to discuss possible topics they would enjoy writing about. The team will provide as much guidance and support as is needed for the first article idea.

  • Week 2-11 | Content

    This is the bulk of the program. Students pitch academic papers to write articles about. They will be able to discuss the papers with the other writers in the program, the elucidate team, ANU professors and perhaps even the paper’s author.

    The time it takes to write an article is approximately 2 weeks and a total of 6-10 hours, but it may differ significantly from this estimate. Each writer will be able to write as many or as few articles as they please, given their uni workload.

    We will then publish the articles under the authors’ names!

  • Week 12 | Review

    There will be an end of semester social event to congratulate everyone on the work everyone has done. Awards including a ‘best article’ award will be handed out!

    Elucidate will offer writers who performed well the option to join the team permanently if they please.
